Meet Oatmeal.

In October 2020 his owner dropped two photos of him in a Discord server: one with his mouth closed, one edited so it hung open in a perfect O. A friend posted the pair to Reddit on October 9. A repost the next day passed a million views, and the internet had a new sound.

The cat's name is Oatmeal. The meme became Popcat, then a clicker game that Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia fought over in the summer of 2021, then one of the biggest coins on Solana. Through all of it the cat kept his name and almost nobody used it.
